    So what I was thinking is correct, you don't need a hub. The Pi should work fine, the SC is getting only the signal of the USB, not powering anything, that's exactly the same if you use a Hub so no difference. Without hub is better, simple and less parts so more reliable.

    If the device is getting power from the wall then yes I would agree that no hub should be necessary. But wouldn't it be nice to be able to plug in a whole bunch of miners at the same time ;

    Any suggestions on the best wifi adapter to use with minepeon would be much appreciated. Preferably one that works out of the box with minepeon. Thanks again.

    Check here: RPi VerifiedPeripherals - eLinux.org

    I used an Edimax that worked out of the box for about 2.5 months before it broke due to overheating. I replaced it with a TP-Link which used to work out of the box, but I got a newer revision which requires a 3rd party driver install. They were both extremely cheap.

    How do I get to the screen that shows the hashrates of the various usb devices connected to the Pi? I did it before, but I can't remember how. Also, how do you get out of that page and get back to a command prompt?

    I'm running headless. No monitor/keyboard/mouse. accessing it via https over my internal network. only thing hooked to it is the network cable and a jalapeno merrily minting 0.0054BTC per day whilst consuming barely 11 cents in electricity.

    Tdonnell, Take a look here: WiFi - MinePeon

    I followed this exactly and have zero issues with my Edimax on the rPi out of the box.

    I find that 4G is optimal size SD card, I have had problems with larger cards.

    I also am having difficulty with my wifi reconnecting after a reboot. i followed all the instructions from the earlier post. But when I reboot, it does not automatically reboot. When I go into wicd-curses, all my settings are still there, but I have to manually reconnect again. Any thoughts on what my problem might be?
