EasyMiner, BFGMiner, or CGMiner must be installed (or a miner of your choice that supports ASICs), current versions are available here:
http://butterflylabs.com/drivers/
Once installed, the devices drivers may not be installed beforehand, and may need to be manually implemented.
At the bottom of the Drivers Page above there is a link to download the USB drivers.
Once you plug in your device, a pop-up in the lower right showing it is attempting to recognize the device will be displayed. If it has an error finding the drivers automatically, select the option for Windows Update to find the drivers for you, which will only take a few minutes to locate, and install, without any interference from you.
Once it states the driver install is complete you can check your Device list to make sure it is recognized and run the miner or your choice.
The ASIC ready miners listed above should automatically recognize ASICs if they are plugged in and should not need any other input.
Once you run the mining program it will prompt you for pool credentials for which you will enter
URL: miningpoolURL:port
Username: myname.worker
Password: workerpass
If you would like to set up a script to automatically pass this information use the format below.
-Create a text document
-Name it the pool you would like to connect to with a .bat file name (not .txt)
-Contained in this file should be something like this for bfgminer or cgminer:
bfgminer.exe -o miningpoolURL:port -u myname.worker -p workerpass
-Then proceed to save and run the batch file.
Fairly simple and extremely easy for those who have any sort of experience setting up a miner, much easier than GPU mining.
